Design your slides for the PowerPoint presentation in English and be sure that they are clear and uncluttered. Remember that your presentation will be projected in a large and partially lit auditorium and that many in the audience will not be native English speakers.
• All Presentations will be in English. • Timing: 15 min presentation and 5 min Q & A. • Use no more than 15-25 words and 1-2 graphics (images such as photographs, x-rays, etc.) per slide. • Larger images are easier for the attendees to view. Graphics and tables should be enlarged to the maximum size possible. • Use high contrast: light-colored letters (white, yellow) on a dark background (blue, black), or dark letters (black) on a light background. • Generally, it is preferable to use multiple slides with less material on each slide, rather than using numerous words and several graphics on a single slide.
